Karabiner-Elements

Wooshy talks with Karabiner-Elements  to bring you custom mappings. Here’s how to make the magic appear:

  1. enable the Karabiner-Elements integration in Wooshy’s Settings, Mappings Pane
  2. create a complex modification in Karabiner-Element based on the newly available WsInputStatus variable. The two available options for the variable are active (when Wooshy’s Input is active) and resting (when Wooshy’s Input is… resting)

Wooshy’s search being case-insensitive, you could for example map G to selecting the last Target:

{ "description": "Wooshy: map G to last Target", "manipulators": [ { "conditions": [ { "name": "WsInputStatus", "type": "variable_if", "value": "active" } ], "from": { "key_code": "g", "modifiers": { "mandatory": ["shift"] } }, "to": [ { "key_code": "down_arrow", "modifiers": "command" } ], "type": "basic" } ] }

This integration allows you to remap almost anything you want according to a whole bunch of conditions available in Karabiner-Elements like the current frontmost app, your current input source, the brand of keyboard you’re typing on, etc., etc. Powerful stuff.
